(OOC) Making Pew Pew Prettier.

I have been playing EvE for years now, and it still manages to surprise me with how beautiful it is.

That said, here are a few ways i think EvE could look better, and maybe open itself up to a new gameplay mechanic or two.

Missile Hardpoints AKA Getting Rid of Missile Blobs – The most popular ships in the game are arguably Caldari, and everyone by the same token loves missile boats, yes? So why is it that when it comes to simple things like missile hardpoints on the ship models and being able to see individual missiles when group fired, CCP has stayed mum? It can’t possibly be that hard considering turrets have hardpoints that work just fine. Sure a new missile movement navigation algorithim would be needed, but it seems so small of a deal yet such a big oversight during the graphical overhaul.

Star Size – All the stars in the universe are more or less the same size, right? Watch this and you may think differently. The fact is our sun is of below average ratings in all catagories, yet stars in New Eden seem to be modeled after it. Now that planets are done getting their new look, stars need a real pick-me-up.

Ship Info – OK this isn’t a graphical change as it is a wish from the RP community. You know the flavour text associated with ships? Yeah, not nearly enough of it. I want to know about its backstory, its development, crew compliments, quotes from pilots and crew, FLAVOUR!

Comets – Mining is nessessary, but not all that fun. One way I thought mining could be made a little more exciting is to create an uncommon and super-lucrative random event about comets. At random times and in random systems, a comet will blow through. Comets are zooming through space and can be mined for extremely profit, but because comets will attract clouds of carebears, PvP will be a huge threat. Exciting!

What do you think? Can these changes be made? Should they? Is there anything you would add to the list? Let me know!
